After a bit of technical magic behind the scenes, we've moved to a shiny new pad.

You can now find HIPPOFROG Designs at

So head on over there for my latest posts, class information, catalogues and more.

I'll slowly be moving over my previous posts bit by bit, starting with the most recent, so if you need to see any 'old' posts, then you'll still need to take a look here for the meantime.

As I move posts across, I'll remove them from this site.

Happy crafting!

Wow!  Today marks the end of the 10 day Catalogue Countdown.  I can't believe how quickly it has flown by and that the new Annual Catalogue goes live TOMORROW - excited squeal!

2016 ac countdown 01

The final sneak peek I'm sharing with you today is a set of really versatile background stamps called Playful Backgrounds.

This set has 4 photopolymer stamps for just £14 and they are all the same size (fit onto Clear Block D).

Here is a set of cards I made using 3 out of the 4 stamps in the set using the new In Colors and the sentiment from the Love & Affection Stamp Set.

These stamp sets are a great way of making really quick and easy cards, or making lots of cards at once.

Some of you may have found one of these through your door last week along with a nice shiny catalogue.  I had great fun dropping the packs off to those in Milton Keynes who have attended class/placed an order with me in the past 3 months.  If I didn't have your address, or your letterbox was too small (there was at least one!), then you'll be receiving yours shortly.

Don't forget that today is the FINAL day for ordering items from the 2015-16 catalogue and the retiring list.  Great for stocking up on cardstock at the current price or grabbing that last minute bundle.

Remember to use the Hostess Code if you are placing an order.

Pop back tomorrow when the new catalogue is LIVE :-)

Happy crafting!

Another Monday during the Catalogue Countdown with 2 posts!

This one is to bring you details of last week's Card & Cuppa project.  7 attendees made this design.

botanicals 008

The card uses several stamp sets - Botanical Blooms, Flower Shop (and the matching Pansy Punch), Work of Art and Perpetual Birthday Calendar, with the sentiment from Balloon Celebration.

Just a reminder that if you are looking to purchase any of the current Bundles (for example the Flower Shop Stamp Set and Pansy Punch) in the 2015-16 Catalogue that you need to buy them before the end of May.  Items that are continuing into the new catalogue will be sold separately from 1st June so take advantage of the 15% discount by 31st May.

The colours used are Pear Pizzazz for the leaves with Old Olive for the veins, Blushing Bride for the 'swoosh' and the 'splats' and the inking around the edges with a Sponge Dauber, and finally Wisteria Wonder for the flower and the sentiment.

The cardstock was Whisper White with an Old Olive layer and the corners on both of these were shaped using the Project Life Corner Punch, the base was Wisteria Wonder.

Finishing touches were a length of co-ordinating Old Olive Baker's Twine, some Basic Pearls to add some bling and a bit of Wink of Stella (Clear) for a touch of sparkle in the centre of the flower.

Due to the Bank Holiday, Card & Cuppa didn't run this week.  However, we're back again next week so make sure you register your interest by 18:00 on 5th June if you would like to attend so that I can make up a kit for you.

To order any of the items I've used, click on the images below to go to my online store.  Remember to use the Hostess Code if you are placing an order.

Well the new catalogue is a matter of days away so it's time for another sneak peek.

Yet again, this post is slightly later than usual, but the good news is that I think I've just about managed to catch up with myself so normal service will resume again soon :-)

2016 ac countdown 02

Today I'm introducing you to another new Suite.  This one is called Playful Palette and has a stamp set called Painter's Palette, a DSP Stack and Washi Tape.

Here are a few designs I've made using the stamp set and DSP.  I love all of the brush strokes and 'splat' effects.

This second design uses the DSP

You'll notice that the DSP is made up of three of the new In Colors, plus Blushing Bride and Basic Black.  The base colour for a lot of the pieces is Very Vanilla so this is why I've used a Very Vanilla layer for my stamping instead of Whisper White.

The DSP is a stack so is made up of 48 6x6" double-sided sheets - 4 sheets of each design, that's 24 different designs - 12 on each side.  WOW!

Here is a little look at the Washi Tape too.  You'll see that one of the rolls has a Whisper White base so perfect for projects where you've chosen to use white.

Check back tomorrow for the final sneak peek before the new catalogue goes live!

Plus, if you pop back later, you'll see last week's Card & Cuppa project :-)

Happy crafting!

Only 3 days to go...

Once again, apologies for the delay in posting today, I'm still trying to catch up with myself after being poorly.

But, I hope the wait will be worth it :-)

2016 ac countdown 03

Today I'm going to show you items from a brand new suite called Affectionately Yours.

The suite contains a stamp set called Love & Affection, Speciality Designer Series Paper, Embossing Folders, Washi Tape and Copper Embossing Folder - phew!

Here are some of the projects I've made to showcase the papers and some stamps from the stamp set, including the really lovely 'sending a smile your way' sentiment.

affectionately yours 004

I created 10 diagonal slash cards by using both sides of each double-sided piece of DSP.  All of the layers are Crumb Cake with the sentiments, flowers and base cards in a colour that co-ordinates with the paper.  Making diagonal slash cards is more economical with the DSP so if you like to make the most of your papers, or just don't like cutting into them, this is a great way to use less!

There are two speciality sheets in the pack that have a copper shine to them too, I'm not sure if you can see them very well in the above picture.

Here you can see a couple of the cards up close.  The flowers have been embossed using the new Copper Embossing Powder and cut out by hand (no punch for this one!).

Here is a look at the Washi Tape from the suite too.  Can you see that shimmery copper one in the middle?  Copper is really on-trend at the moment and I'm looking forward to creating some projects using it.

If you would like to see these items up close and in the flesh, then pop along to my Catalogue Launch Event on Saturday 11th June.  Click HERE for more details.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see the next sneak peek.
